What to Expect

The teenage years are a time of finding identity, becoming a young adult, and being equipped for the future. There are many different voices that can pull, push, and persuade teens to make certain decisions in life. At Olive Branch, we encourage students to explore their gifts and talents in a fun, diverse, and active environment.  Not only are students encouraged to find their identity as individuals, but also as followers of Christ who express genuine faith, passionate hearts of service, and zealous evangelistic habits.  Our programs pull teens from throughout Corona and the Temescal Valley for times of worship, study, and fun.

Our youth program is for junior high and high school students. We have services on Wednesdays at 7pm and Sundays at 11am! Check out the info below to find out more about our services!

Meet our Student Ministries Director:
Nick Hershey

After graduating high school in 2006, Nick joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for 6 years. He spent several years striving after his own ambitions, but the Lord blessed him with failure after failure. When Nick finally put his own ambitions aside and sought after God’s plan for his life, everything came together beautifully. Nick returned to church and began serving with new believers, youth ministries, and discipleship ministries. Even though he doesn’t remember applying, he received an acceptance letter from California Baptist University. When a college counselor asked Nick what he planned to do he said, “I’ve tried to do many things, but it seems the only thing God will let me do is pastoral ministry.” The college counselor introduced Nick to the Bachelor’s of Applied Theology Program – an intensive and unique theological program designed to equip for careers in ministry. Nick reluctantly applied to the program and was accepted. This turned out to be one of the best decisions of Nick’s life. Nick was finally doing what God had so clearly created him to do. In 2020, at the height of the COVID syndemic, Nick graduated from the Applied Theology Program at CBU with his Bachelor’s Degree. He had been attending Olive Branch for 2 years because it was his wife’s home church, while also attending the church he’d been attending for the previous 6 years. When the Director of Student Ministry position at Olive Branch became available, Nick applied and was hired in October of 2020.
