The recent fires in Los Angeles have left many in need of comfort and support. As followers of Christ, we are called to respond with love and action. You can help by giving financially to provide essential resources, praying for those affected and for the relief efforts, or signing up to serve through hands-on assistance.

The Bible reminds us, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).

Together, we can bring hope and healing to those in need.

OBCC is working with the California Southern Baptist Association to send monetary help as well as physically help where disaster is at.

2025 CSBDR Training – Highland, CA

Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Training – March 14th & 15th – Highland
Date: March 15th 2025
Time: 7:30am – 5:00pm (Chaplaincy is 2-day class attendance is required on both days. Other tracks offered are only on Saturday. Both days are 7:30am to 5:00pm)
Location: Immanuel Baptist Church, 28355 Baseline Street, Highland, CA 92346
3/15 Training Classes Offered:
  • Orientation (Required for all)
  • Feeding Track (Intro to Feeding and Feeding Operations)
  • Clean Up Track (Intro to Cleanup and Personal Property Recovery)
  • Flood Recovery
  • Chainsaw
  • Assessments
  • Chaplaincy (2 Day Training) which starts on 3/14.

This training is for those wanting to become a DR volunteer, DR volunteers needing to requalify or current DR volunteers wanting to take additional training.
New Volunteer – $50.00 (includes background check, ID badge, gold t-shirt, hat, and CA pin).
Requalifying DR Volunteer – $30.00 (includes background check and ID badge)
Current DR Volunteer – No charge
Registration fee includes lunch.
Transportation and lodging are the responsibility of the attendee.
