The Christian teacher must absolutely love his students, seeking their highest good even when at times the way may be hard. Not only should he love his students, but he should also genuinely like and understand them.

The Christian teacher should exercise complete submission to the one great teacher, God. Every teacher must listen to the Lord, and the Holy Spirit, for his lessons and never should he think that he does not need to be taught of Him.

The teacher should always look to trace every subject back to God.
