- Pray Weekly for the Lost: Give everyone in the group an index card then have them write down 2-3 people that don’t know Jesus. Every week your group meets spend a few minutes praying for these people and having people share if they’ve had any spiritual conversations with them. To go further, try 1-1-1. At one o'clock, pray for one minute for one seeker on your list.
- Invitation Challenge: See who can invite the most people to fall festival, a church service, or another upcoming event. Have some fun with this and talk about it each week your group meets.
- Empty Chair: Setup an empty chair in your small group and put a poster on it that has written on it all the names of people you are praying for. Let the list prompt you to pray faithfully.
- Host a Matthew Party! We read in Matthew 9:10-13 that Jesus hung out with "sinners" and had dinner with them, so why can't we? One of the best ways to build relationships with nonbelievers is over a meal, especially if you are buying! Maybe host a BBQ as a whole group, or have a few matthew parties that different families can attend and invite non-believers to attend.
- Map Your Neighborhood: Draw the street where you live and the ten closest houses on your block. List on each house the names of the people who live there, including the children. Then note each family's "spiritual address": Where are they with the Lord? When you've finished, use this map as a prayer list.
